Saturday’s “To Do” list gets underway with GO TO Yard sales!

Planning my route a night before, testing my gps on my phone and circling the yard sale listings within the paper are a Friday night ritual.

Town My home is is a “Planned Community”. That means it is pre-planned and strategically outlined. It is split into Sections each section is presented by correspondence. The “P” section includes streets you start with the letter P: Perkins, Parking, Parkins, Penny. You get the drift! Inside the P section, there are several retirees and young professionals. The W section is considered the rich and ritzy area of town Then the B section is older and sadly, more run down. The R section is packed with young families with children. The S Section is south of town and regarded inside the boondocks simply because the lots are larger plus it feels more country. Last but not least, the C Section is the place the canals, intracoastal, boats, boats plus more boaters live. Each section possesses his own characteristics and community. Despite the fact that many of us are the main larger town, these “sections” develop over town to attract a particular ambience. The location with many different children have 2 elementary schools and sidewalks throughout. The “Country” a part of town doesn’t have any street lights and is off the beaten track from your rest of town. But, the city all together has rules and regulations and laws that people all try and abide.

We are allowed Two currently have annually. We’re needed to obtain a $5 permit for every of such sales and our signage is picked up and destroyed by noon on Saturday mornings. It isn’t a conducive atmosphere for a Yard sale Business from your home!

About the Wednesday ahead of the Friday/Saturday Yard sale rush, a listing of all sales comes out in your local shopping guide, The Pennysaver. People list their address, time and date of sale and a couple of “hook” items that will attract the throngs of super sale seekers. I faithfully pour in the Pennysaver dividing the sale addresses into town’s sections and plot my Saturday journey!

I leave for your sales until around 11am since the majority of these sales end by 1 or 2pm. Therefore, once I buy to the sale, individuals you will need to sell the last of their stuff for virtually any price you are offering them. Since I am NEVER looking for anything in particular… just real deals, I’ve been able to purchase (without negotiation) entire rooms of furniture, enormous collections of old china and enough fabric to stitch clothes for the third world nation! And that i purchased for approximately $5!!! I have a weekly budget of around $20 for rummage sales in support of once or twice have I ever gone over that quantity!!!

So, for this weekend, I am plotting out about 10 sales inside a 10 mile variety of my property. I will leave at 11 am and turn into back by 3pm and that i know….The trunk seat with the car will likely be LOADED!!!!
